Tulsi, Chamomile and Black Iced Tea on platter outside.

It goes without saying, hot days call for cold drinks. When it comes to summer refreshment, there’s nothing like the simple, pure, flavorful invitation of a tall glass of ROC™ iced tea. The possibilities are endless, from the classic pour over ice to a dressed-up variation featuring sliced fruit, citrus, and herbs.

This summer, take your icy beverages to the next level with The ORGANIC INDIA ROC™ Tea lineup. Choose from our serene Purely Chamomile, robust Purely Assam Black Tea, and potent classic Tulsi Original varieties. Deepen the flavors by pre-freezing brewed tea in ice cube trays to fill your glasses when you’re ready to serve.

When you’re feeling extra chill, we love our iced tea slushie-style. Just add brewed, chilled tea to a blender with tea ice cubes; aim for a 1-1 or 2-1 ratio of tea to ice depending on how smooth you want your beverage, but no need to be too exacting as you can adjust as you blend until you reach your desired consistency.  Cold Brew, Hot Brew, Ice Brew, Blended Slush-style–whatever route you take, you’re guaranteed a summer sipper worth lingering over.

Why ROC™?

Regenerative Organic Certified was established in 2017 by a group of farmers, business leaders, and experts in soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness collectively called the Regenerative Organic Alliance, or ROA. Organic India is proud to be an official corporate ally of this Alliance, creators of the Regenerative Organic Certified®(ROC™). This framework meets the highest standards in the world for soil health, animal welfare, and farmworker fairness.

The ROC™ certification adds a level of transparency and verification to The ORGANIC INDIA regeneratively grown herbs cultivated by farmer partners throughout India. By adopting regenerative organic practices on more farms around the world, we can create long-term solutions to the climate crisis, factory farming, and fractured rural economies.

  1. Brew a tea concentrate: in a saucepan, place 4-5 ROC™ tea bags in 2 cups boiled water and let steep for 3-5 minutes. If using loose tea, be sure to place 5 teaspoons in an infuser (infusion pitcher or individuals).
  2. Add 2 cups cold water to the pot and let cool slightly.

ROC™ Iced Tea Slushie (2-3 slushies):

Tulsi slushie with mint garnish
  1. Brew 4-5 ROC™ tea bags in 4 cups boiled water and let steep 5 minutes. Add sweetener to taste, as desired and let cool.
  2. Pour half of the cooled tea into ice cube trays and freeze until solid (4 hours or overnight). Chill the remaining tea in a pitcher in the fridge.
  3. Add frozen tea cubes to a blender with chilled tea. Start with a 1-1 ratio of cups tea to cubes, adding additional chilled tea if needed. Pulse until tea is slushy. Be careful not to overblend, though you may need to spoon some of the slush mixture into the glass, then pour liquid on top.
