With the base of kiwi and pineapple blended with piquant ginger, refreshing coconut water, fresh spinach, and zesty lime, there’s a lot coming together in this nutritious amla kiwi smoothie. Rather than competing, though, the flavors meld harmoniously. You can also feel free to cut back on or switch up ingredients. Use mango in place of pineapple, skip the ginger if you want to, add zest of lime as well as juice. We love dressing this up by pressing thin kiwi slices against the glass before pouring in the smoothie. You can add yogurt, if using, in the blender, or top a layer of smoothie level with the kiwi slices for a pretty, cloudlike effect.

Amla

Glow Amla Smoothie Recipe

Per 1 serving
Ingredients
- 1 Cup coconut water (or sub in any unsweetened plant milk)
- 1 kiwi, sliced (plus additional ½ to whole for garnish/decorating the glass)*
- 1 Cup frozen pineapple chunks
- ½ banana, frozen in chunks
- ¼ small avocado chunks
- ½ Cup spinach leaves or other leafy greens
- ½ Tablespoon chia seeds
- ½ teaspoon amla powder (2 capsules)
- Juice of ½ lime
- ½ -inch fresh ginger root, peeled and minced or grated
- ½ Cup unsweetened plain or vanilla plant-based yogurt, optional (we love a coconut-based one in this)
Method
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender, starting with the liquid.
- Blend on high until smooth.
- Garnish the insides of your glass, pour your smoothie and top with finishing touches.
